I liked drawing Moe's silly pose. There's the cell phone Moe "met" in the garbage truck yesterday! It's in the landfill! Boy, I bet Moe's going to have some trouble getting out of that silly pose! I like to call the guy in panel 2 "Alex." Mostly because there was a character in an old comic strip I collaborated with some nice guy guy called The Master. He looked a lot like this, and his name was Alex. So I thought I'd bring him back.
The "landfill" was just a 1½-foot-deep hole, and the driver looked a lot like Thidwick.
