This is getting out of hand...

I finally discovered a way to speed up the shading process!

The last two strips were originally the same strip, but then I figured that I needed to name the theorem/principle. This meant I had to split the strip into two and focus the first on the principle. I'm still not sure what I'm going to officially call it, though...

The symbol in the traditional "Z" talk bubble is not a 6 – it's actually the Deseret alphabet symbol for the "z" sound.

Originally I was going to have Moerlin's first line be "...gives me a combination Moe/Merlin personality," but I changed it to this because I had since learned what "amalgamation" meant, and I thought it would be interesting if Moerlin referred to both of his personalities in the third person.

And yes, his hind toes are clenched in the last panel.

It Hasn't Been 13 Times

Technically Moe's only really woken up as Moerlin 7 times (I'm counting this and this as the same one now because of this strip and they have a very similar ending); none of the other times were real (they were dreams, movies, thoughts, etc.). But there have been 14 individual Sunday strips about this (not counting those as the same one this time).

I was thinking at first of making his name be some combination of Jocken Fred and Bed Monster (maybe Jocken Bed), but then I figured it could be Enemonster. Maybe that's what I'll call him later.

Unlike the First Moerlin Transformation Ending

Strange Happening?

Oh, Phew!

Whenever I draw a new Moerlin Transformation strip, I always trace over the previous one, except for the "looking up" panel (the first in the bottom row) and the one(s) after the third one in the last row. So, naturally, there have been some slight changes over the strips, like the doghouse shrinking in width or Moerlin's body getting more squashed and fat in the third panel in the third row.

I've had the idea for this one for quite a while, only because I was waiting for a full moon to occur on a Sunday.

The character in the talk bubble is the Chinese character for "snore." I'm really not sure why I decided to do that, but I did.
