Oh, She Fell For It All Right

As much of a trickster as Moe is, Moe would never seriously hurt Julia, and so he put a pillow in front of the pool in order to break Julia's fall.

I Must Have Forgotten To Scan The Other Night

There will not be a strip on Friday and Saturday.
The number on the one Moe's shirt is a reference to this strip.

9/30/12

Pressed For Time One More Time (I Hope)

The title is a repeated title of Pressed For Time.
This strip is a reference to Wordgirl.
Thanks for the Fill In The Blank suggestion, A113-Dean! Now suggest your own ideas for the original strip!

Ultimate Sneakiness!

If you recall, Moe's InvisiRay makes you not only invisible, but mostly insolid, too. It appears that you can control which parts of you are insolid, otherwise Moe wouldn't be able to pick up Julia's paper.

Our First Double Post Beyond 2000 Posts

Is it me, or does today's comic strip look a little bluer to you?

Double Posts: Are They Becoming A Trend?

Check back at 2 PM Mountain Daylight Time for another Flashback Comparison!

Triple Post

Me and Moe are looking at the readers in the last panel.
I am this exact same way. I also did some sketches of the destruction of the pencil. Here's the entire page (the 7-30 shows the date I will be using the joke):
I got the ideas of using nouns and verbs as sound effects from another webcomic.
It took me quite a while to figure out what would prompt Julia to toss that teddy bear in the trash. Also, it was originally filling it with glue, but I thought it would be funnier to make it tomato sauce.

Merlin's Tackling Heidi Again

Merlin apparently tackles Heidi quite often.

Also, Merlin's ears were originally too long in the last panel, so I had to white them out and shorten them.

A Cut-And-Pasted Note

The digital letter took me forever. Mr. Bear is actually a stuffed animal I used to have until his arm fell off.

Also I wasn't going to have Moe say that the letter was from Julia at first, but then I figured it would be a little vague, so I put in his "It's from Julia" line.

The Giant Teddy

I noticed that most of the teddy bears I draw in the strip now have that basic style.

B--*

I seem to have a habit of making the "fingers" of the "hands" made out of Bob's tail or a fish's fin are pointy, like claws. For some reason I don't do that with Merlin's ears.

Have you noticed that Bob's ears have changed style a second time recently?

That Doesn't Look Good...

I had a bit of a hard time getting Julia's first line right, and even now I'm not sure if I completely like it.

Oh Boy, A Double--No, This Is A QUINTUPLE Post!!

We have a new poll up!

Back to the drawing-board...literally!
Julia wondering about the name of the city and the "...or is it??" were later additions.
I deliberately swapped the colors of Julia's clothes. My dad came up with the general idea of most of it, except the last two panels. Did you notice that "Heidi Anna"'s Elisha disguise was just a wig?

These next two strips were ones I thought of on vacation.
This idea came about when I was just doodling without really thinking about what I was drawing. I tried mixing up some stuff in this strip. For example, the red targets in the first and second panels were colored before I drew the rest of the panel. Plus, in the first panel, the overall coloring was done before the outline was drawn. Moe's camouflage outfit and the "Master Blaster Deluxe" were new additions for the strip, not in my original sketch. I really enjoyed making this strip.
Finally, today's strip. This was also thought of on vacation, although it was based on a real experience.

Julia Has Vivid Green Eyes

For some reason, I keep thinking that I showed in a previous strip that Julia had brown eyes...

12/20/11

You Sneaky Kid!

The title is a repeated title of You Sneaky Mom!

I thought it'd be neat to add a touch of reality to my strips, so when it came time to color the strip, I took a black colored pencil (I have three, by the way) and drew in some door panels.

It's One O'Clock?!!

I did 1:00 because that's during Moe's Midnight Roaming.

So Close, And Yet So Far!!

When I showed the last strip of last year's Election Week to my brothers, they were wondering how Strip Supervisor would have more power than the President. I decided I'd better explain that part in this strip.

8/12/11

Okay, Paradox Time

Wow, I haven't used colored backgrounds (for decoration, not as part of the strip's plot) for years!
