Last Time In Almost 90 Years

There's really not much to say about this strip...

Catch Up Part One

Yeah, yeah, we know what day it is. We'll try to get our strips up on time from now on.
I've had the idea for this joke since April. But it might have been a bit more awesome if it was in its own post...
I've had the idea for this joke for years now. I decided to bring it back and update the dialogue a bit so that it would fit the strip of today.
Every time we see Lily, I try to give her bow a different color.

Two Thousand Posts

Happy 2000th post, I.W.M.A.! I remember our 1000th post... (the title is actually a repeated title of that post.)

And so, as promised, here's our long-anticipated celebration picture (the file's kinda large):
This image contains every single character ever shown in I.W.M.A. and Nermia. Really. Try to name a character from I.W.M.A. that ISN'T in the photo (I'll make it easy for you. There isn't one).

This image shows the last usage of my light brown (skin color), main orange, pink, and Bob green (you know, Bob's shade of fur). It also introduces five new colors: beige, canary yellow, crimson red, rose, and orange, all Prismacolor.

I've started thinking that if I can get another thousand posts in, I might seriously consider ending the blog then.

Once again, happy 2000th post, I.W.M.A.!

It's His...?

So Moe is 9 now. This strip really explains this one from four years ago!

?yaD esrevnI s'tahW

I love showing someone a strip that they may think is upside-down. This is another one.

H-Py M-thers D!

I wrote this strip backwards. Except for the opening joke.

Michelle and Sally are wearing the same colors in their outfits. Just switched around (i.e. Michelle's shirt color is Sally's pants color, and vice versa).

Save The Earth. For Reals.

I should've written, "So reduce, reuse, recycle, and you can help save the earth!"

What is Mustardia?

Happy Flag Day to our U.S.A. fans!! The first flag we see is a play on the International Red Cross, or whatever it's called. For the Moe-lympics flag, I took the normal Olympics flag and changed the circles to Moe heads. And also, instead of colored outlines, I colored the heads in. The United Cartoons flag is a play on the United Nations.

!! WARNING !! SPOILERS

You may be wondering what Mustardia is. Look at the side of that panel. It has the web address of the Nermia podcast blog. So, it has something to do with that...

He's 30 Dog Years Old Today

Mean Dog's present is shaped like a bone.

Oh, No, Indeed!

When I drew the strip, I was so used to drawing a different-shaped side-view of Moe's head, that I accidentally drew the old style. You can still see a little bit of the mistake behind the new Moe head in the first panel. To fix this, I cut out bits of the bottom of the paper, drew Moe on them, and glued them on. Unfortunately, the first Moe was a little to small.

If you could see the entire paper, you would see a little bit of the bottom cut off.

.S. .S. A .S. X MY Xpo FERENS?

That gibberish in the last panel is actually a tracing of Christopher Columbus's signature.

To George Lucas

For all those who weren't keeping track, it's Star Wars's 30th birthday this year. I just had to do something to celebrate it, since all the LEGO products and magazines have "Star Wars 30 Anniversary" on it. This is what came into mind. I almost settled on doing something from Return of the Jedi, but I thought, "Star Wars 4 came out 30 years ago." So I stuck with this. Not counting my Sunday panel layout, I needed three guides to draw this strip: a how-to-draw book for the closeup of the Millennium Falcon, some sketches I did of Star Wars explosions, and my rough-out I did in my sketchbook. I liked trying to mix my yellow and orange and red to get this good explosion-color. Giving it a Star Wars feeling in the last panel was kind of tough. But since I did it before, making it dark but still light, it was kind of easy too. Because of the 30th anniversary, I just came up with it this year. It does not have the long-lost index title.

Happy July 28th...or...something!

Notice the shirt on this one...that wasn't my mistake, that was Moe's mistake...honestly!
