Triple Post

Me and Moe are looking at the readers in the last panel.
I am this exact same way. I also did some sketches of the destruction of the pencil. Here's the entire page (the 7-30 shows the date I will be using the joke):
I got the ideas of using nouns and verbs as sound effects from another webcomic.
It took me quite a while to figure out what would prompt Julia to toss that teddy bear in the trash. Also, it was originally filling it with glue, but I thought it would be funnier to make it tomato sauce.

Job, Inc.

Originally, I was going to color the last panel in black and white. When I was making this strip, I could not think of an idea for the name of the company. The word JOB kept lingering in my mind. So I came up with several possible logos. The number next to a logo indicates its number.
I took a vote around the house, and the results were...
Logos 2 and 4 got one vote. Logo 5 got two, and Logo 3 got three. Logo 1 got none.

A Pipe What?!

It took me a while to get a good design for the pipe organ. Here's what I started with:
I figured it wasn't big enough, so I thought, "What would happen if I mirrored it to the other side?"
I thought it was starting to look better, except for the fact that there are two short sections in the middle. I didn't want two sections of the same height right next to each other, so I took one out:
Then I added some details, and voilá!
If you look closely, you can see the original design play out in the final version!

Did you like J.W.M.A.?

I.W.M.A. is sorry for the lack of poll results recently. At least we finally posted them:
And here's what Julia thinks of your results:
Uh-oh. I hope she's not planning on doing this again. Oh, what? Hang on a second...

She said she wasn't.

Did you notice that I.W.M.A. updated our polls? Yup, since we got our new iWMac, we decided to upgrade them.

Finally, New Products!

Well, after a six-month break, we finally have new products. They're mentioned in the strip.
A set of five...Dad, Heidi, Julia, Merlin, and Moe. Not sold separately.
Very fragile. Not for children under 3 years. That means YOU, Brennan! I thought I asked you to stay away from the Christmas tree...oh, sorry. I'ts just that Brennan keeps trying to grab the orna...*crash*...ooh, that didn't sound good. I'm going to have to stop now. BRENNAN...YOU LITTLE...

Treasure Hunt, Part V

Note from I.W.M.A.: Because of today being a part of the treasure hunt, Nail In The Morning will be featured tomorrow.
Normally, today would be N.I.T.M. If it was, here's a rough sketch of what it would be:
Not too bad, huh?

I.W.M.A. needs at least two more votes on our poll before it ends.

Please??

Xd Out

Earlier today I was taking a look at my to-post images, and I found these sketches I made of the current logo. (The arrow in the fourth one is supposed to be pointing from the word Moe to the Moe person.
What do you think?

That's Going to be Loud...

This came from a sketch too:

The Last Panel was Originally in Color

I had to scan the strip in black-and-white unlike the other strips to make it look like color was turned into a two-color strip. If you look at the other strips, then go back to this one quickly, you'll notice the difference. The background of others is bluish, yet this one is grayer. Here's the original sketch that made me think of today's and yesterday's strip:
When a corpse dies.
Like the sketch of Mom screaming, this was done before I started drawing toes.

Strange Guys

So, Moe and Mom are going to Silly Putty Adventures 4 on the 21st. By the way, about the purse, Mom bought a new one, but her luck didn't change:

So Mom had to go buy a third purse. Actually, the first picture is a sketch I did soon after I got better from my illness. I was looking at my ceiling, and I noticed a peculiar design of texture. The first picture is what I saw it as. A few days later, I sketched both of these. This explains the old style feet on Mom.

Made by Sharker-Price.

Good grief, tomorrow's post is number 300!!! I'll have to celebrate by...getting 300 of...something...I gotta think quick...or talk to that smart Moe. Oh well, here we go.
Who's up there?
Do you really think it is becoming a running gag? Do you know what Moe's playing with?
Hello, Mister. I see you have a blanket. I, too, have a blanket, but I didn't bring it.
Our latest product! Little people with faces that look like our characters! We've got all characters except Bob, Bed Monster, and Merlin.* Warning: choking hazard. Small parts. Not for children under three years. Bonus: Thidwick comes with a blanket that is made from real fabric!

*We do not have these characters because they are not humans. Moe, Julia, Merlin and I tried to think of ideas, but we couldn't think of any good ideas, because Bob and Merlin have ears, but the human characters don't. Also, we couldn't think of any good ways to have Bed Monster's tongue hanging out, because if we just glued it on, it could come off, and if we just drew it, it wouldn't look good from the side. So I just decided not to do them. I wonder if they'll ever recover from being left out.

Yes...VERY YES!!

Did you know that the original version of this strip actually had Moe as a double-arm in panel 1? That means he had a sort of rectangle in place of where his arm would be, a fist on one end, and the pointing hand on the other end. And, guess what?

We are now publishing our strips in books! The design follows the "MOE" logo in those Sunday strips.

Notice the Teacup-Like Sketch.

I was flipping through my sketchbook this morning and I found these sketches of Bed Monster as the cake for Brennan in Search of His Mother.

So, my original idea was to have two of the legs as the bottom of the cake, and his arms would fill in some of the spaces between the bottom and the actual cake. But that didn't go over so well...to me it almost looks like a teacup. I think the ones in the second row are my best ones. So, for the final strip, I tried to copy one of those, but I can't remember which one. I think it was the one on the left.

Disinfectant...only $19.95. See the I Want Moe Attention store for more details.

Look at the pictures on the wall. Hey, Moe has a Toshiba-Laptop computer! That is because their old computer got destroyed in a thunderstorm. Do you think it will work? Well, check out our new product Moe is using and find out:
It does! But now it's free.

Talking Lesson #97...He Succeeded!!

I can't believe it. Merlin talked when he wasn't trying to. I did that "A-HA!" thing in panel 3 last. That means Merlin's only going to talk for about 1 day? Well, that's 365% of a year, isn't it? So Merlin finally talked. And in only 97 lessons! That's gotta be a world record! I owe it all (and so does Moe) to our first-ever published book:
