Catch Up Part Seven

When I first drew this, I was going to have Irene sticking her head in from the side. But almost immediately after I drew that, I realized that since they're underwater, she COULD be hanging upside down. I almost never get to do that, so I decided to seize that opportunity.
I've never seen one of my characters appear so calm around an eraser. (I haven't done eraser jokes for a while, either.)
 Yay for the Muppets!
Not quite sure if I was able to digitally capture the transgreen effect...

The Election Week strips will appear sometime tomorrow.

He Needs to Control his Temper!

When I drew this strip, I couldn't seem to get Bubbles to look angry enough in the second panel. Then I decided to make up for it in color. Originally I was just going to give him red pupils, but then I realized he needed to have his entire face be red.

I always enjoy making the strips with Gwendolyn and Bubbles.

The Ocean Water Just Turned Yellow

At first I was going to just have yellow around the "YOWOW!!!!!" in the third panel, although I realized that might look a tad weird, so I just made the entire panel yellow. I had already done the blue tint I do beforehand when I had done the yellow, and I decided to keep it just as a reminder that they were underwater.

When Pigs Fly

This is another one of those semi-rare times I've shown Gwendolyn's back.

I'll Get You Next Time; Mark My Words!!

This is the first time I actually drew Gwendolyn's division line. I specifically said "division line" because, in past strips, we have seen her back; but never have we actually seen the division between skin and scales.

Take It Back, I Say!!

When I first drew this, I thought it felt a little odd to be drawing a humanoid upper body saying "my fin." But then I thought, this is under the ocean, so it's probably said a lot amongst the fish and merpeople.

I love it when Bubbles, instead of clenching his fists, clenches his toes.

In the past, I only drew a few scales on the mermaids' tails. But since their redesign, I draw in all the scales. Also, if you're wondering why Gwendolyn does not have the redesign, it's because in the aforementioned redesign strip, Gwendolyn swam past, and she still had the old fashion design.

Snatch!

Yes, I know I've had Bubbles talk in a past strip. That was an accident.

WHO RIPPED THE PANEL?!

The title is a repeated title of WHO RIPPED THE LAST PANEL?! My original sketch was on a whole piece of paper (so the line was "I don't think splitting the page in half..."), vertically, so that the line went horizontally. But, obviously, that didn't work with the format of this strip, so I had to make the rip vertical. And unlike the strip of the original title, this is not an actual rip. I just drew an oddly jagged line on the right edge of the first panel, and then replicated it with the left edge of the second panel.

I like Bubbles's pose in the right half of the rip.

She Has Urchins In Her Eyes!

He's using a new stopwatch, so I colored it purple instead of yellow.

I like the urchins in her eyes. They're like the cliché of the $s in someone's eyes.

Eat my Bubbles!

"Eat my bubbles" came, as far as I know, from Finding Nemo.

URCHIN COLLECTORS' GATHERING OF 2010

My mom came up with the idea of calling the mermaid Gwendolyn.

I have no idea why I like to label the podium PODIUM.

So...ALMOST Nothing?

Originally, I was thinking about having them both say, "Except possibly that (mermaid/merfish) next door." I can't really remember what made me change my mind.
