But It Worked?

This strip is kind of strange, isn't it? This isn't what the original strip was, actually. That's why the index title "long-lost" does not lead to this post! The original strip went something like this:

PANEL 1: (Julia is out of panel. We can only see the tree.) JULIA: Bye, Moe! I'm leaving forever! / MOE: !
PANEL 2: (We can see Moe and Julia, but no tree. Julia is looking at Moe and smiling. Moe is out of the tree.) MOE: How will I survive without you?!
PANEL 3: (Close-up on Julia.) JULIA: I only said that so he'd come down!
