THAT'S WHAT THEY CAUGHT!!!

Look back at the week's other posts; she asked for all they caught! That's why Moe and Merlin are making those faces.

5/29/08

A Crumb Makes a WHAT?

Did the entire crumb create such a huge splash that it knocked the entire boat over?!

5/28/08

Sploop?

I can't see any land around them! Where are they, in the middle of the ocean? I like how something that weighs a hundred tons makes just a little splash.

5/27/08

100 TONS?!?!?!?!

Yes, 100 tons is 200,000 pounds.

5/26/08

A L-What?

This isn't really a "secret" life under the ocean, so I changed "secret" to "crazy." Because you'll find that in the rest of this week's strips, they do catch some really crazy things.

5/25/08

Merlin Messed it Up!

Why doesn't Moe know how to describe it? Because something in a dream was taken out, then it was put back in, then somebody in the dream got out halfway, then something real turned into a dream!

5/24/08

Just One of Merlin's Average Tricks, I Guess

The title is a repeated title of all but the bottom post in this list. The original text for Julia's line was:

I hate it when you trick me, but I LOVE it when you don't.

Merlin switched around the words "LOVE" and "hate" so it sounded like Julia liked Moe's strips. Really weird things can happen in comic strips, huh?

5/23/08

For Better or For Worse?

The post title is a reference to a comic strip name.

5/22/08

Merlin is Crazy!

The colors of Moe's clothes are the first three I.W.M.A. colors. The fourth is red.

5/20/08

He Sold His WHAT?!

This is an example of "subconscious" jokes, or jokes I came up with in a dream. The other one so far is the "Bedtime Buggy" name, and the last panel of this strip. Maybe I'll do it in the IWMA 101, if we end up doing it. We will if our results stay the same or get more votes on the first and/or third options than the second. So far, we're probably going to do it!

When I dreamed this joke, it was in the form of a Garfield strip.

5/19/08

That's Pretty Obvious, As Well

The title is a repeated title on one of the Nermia posts, "That's Pretty Obvious!"

5/17/08

Post-What?

Remember that the titles at the top are supposed to be Moe's lines. That's why he called her "Mom."

For any kids who don't know this, "post" as I used in in "post-midnight roaming" means "after." So, this means "roaming after midnight."

And The 700th Post Award Goes To...This Post? Really?

The idea that Moe would have Asperger's Syndrome is taken from a comment on an old post.

This is our 700th post, so, as usual, we wanna "celebrate." This time, we'll be showing the evolution of the characters! In other words, we're going to show pictures of the characters when they were first drawn. Hope you enjoy!

The lady at the bottom is Mama, the dog at the bottom is what would later become Merlin, and the soap bottle is Dad, believe it or not. Pictures of Jocken Fred, Brennan, and Heidi not available.

5/15/08

He's Going to Crash, I Know It.

I wonder what Michelle and Charlie are going to do when they find out that their 8-year old son is driving?

5/14/08

Midnight WHAT?!

Pears actually happen to be my favorite fruit.

5/13/08

There's Two Moes!

The couch is really a time machine?!

5/12/08

The Secret Life of MIDNIGHT MOE

This is the beginning of "The Secret Life Of..." There are lots more to come.

5/11/08

What did he DO to him?!

The image of Thidwick with a pizza on his head, a feather in the pizza, carrots in his ears, tomatoes on his eyes, duct tape on his mouth, and jelly on his feet was created by The Master, from Red Brick, Blue Brick. There's a link to it on the sidebar.

5/10/08

Where's Her Hair?

I'm still trying to remember how on earth I came up with this strip.

5/9/08

Literally?

I am literally living the life of Riley...because that's my name. It says so on my profile. And that's what I sign my strip as. The phrase living "the life of Riley" means "a luxurious or carefree existence," according to the Macintosh dictionary.

5/8/08

He's A Skeleton!!!

I was originally going to draw Moe's clothes on the skeleton, but decided not to, because his pants would just fall down. I was also going to put a small crack in the skull, but that would mean that he hit his head hard. Like this. But I meant recently...that was almost, like, half a year ago!

5/7/08

Dirty Mud? Find Out Now!

This is another instance of "Find Out Now!"

5/6/08

Numb? Blue?

This happened to me once. If you look closely, you can see that I colored Moe's hands with two colors. Not only did I use my skin color, but I also used a very, very light shade of blue.

5/3/08

Pththhtpthttthhph?

There are only four colors in this strip! White, black, light brown [skin flesh], and orange!

5/2/08

I.W.M.A. already knows what we will do on our 700th post. What should we show on our 800th post?

Our poll is tied, so we don't need a graph. We got 3 votes for the 800 somethings, and 3 votes for the 3D picture. We'll do 800 of something on our 800th post, and the 3D picture on our 900th. We don't do more than one thing to celebrate our _00th post.

That just leaves our 1000th post...

The Book Keeps Changing!

In the first panel, the book is blue, and is titled "The Misadventures of Sam."
In the second panel, the book is green, and is titled "NERMIA."
In the third panel, the book is yellow, and is titled "I.W.M.A.: A Complete History."

Because of the release of Scheduled Posts on Blogger, we are going to use it...well...all the time, I guess!

Did you know that every color from my colored pencils is used in this strip.
