Why is it Upside-Down?

Today, I did two April Fools. The first is obvious: I scanned it upside-down. You can still read it...you just have to stand on your head. The second is subtle: we had a substitute artist today. That's right, look next to my name in the last panel. That's right. The Jeff from P.D.o.G.U. drew this strip. Watch the calendar in the two panels-it changes!

Wink!

Uh-oh, so Moe knows that Merlin was missing! Oh, well, today's the end of the February-March story. And...tune in again tomorrow...it's April Fool's Day! Hee hee hee...

3/29/08

Kaboom!

I like the way I used the stool as the O in the logo. I wonder what would happen if someone was on Mars, and looking at the passage to the back of Moe's truck at the same time Mars was sucking into itself. Why do you think it exploded?

3/28/08

How did THEY Get There?

Hey, who stuck the passages to Ghost Town and Mars in here?
How do you think those passages got there? What do you think Merlin's going to do with them?

3/27/08

3/26/08

HIYA!

We haven't seen Moe for a little while. Let's show him in today's strip.

3/25/08

He Hit a Truck!

I used the sky fading colors again in panel 2. You'll have to look closely to see it.

3/24/08

Wasted?

I've noticed that when I look at the sky, the shade of blue gets darker as I look higher. So I tried to do that in today's strip. Do you think I succeeded?

He Remembered!

Do you think he's already home? I hope not! Moe could be worried about Merlin!

3/22/08

How Could He Forget THAT?!

I can't believe he forgot about his owner! ...I wonder if any of you forgot, too?

3/21/08

Wrong End Date

In panel 2, Merlin's supposed to be looking up at the date.

3/20/08

You Said It!

The original rough for this strip had the joke the same, but when it came time to draw the final strip, I had an idea to have it be something like this:

"Man, that was quite an adventure!"
"You can say that again!"
"Man, that was quite an adventure!"
"I didn't mean literally."

But I thought that this version would be funnier, so I didn't change it.

3/19/08

PLOP!

"Plop" is one of my favorite sound effects. Did you notice the clouds changed in panel 3? The clouds in panel 2 look like RW [real world] pointing to the passage. In panel 3, it looks a little like CW [cartoon world] pointing to Merlin.

Do Not Remove From Wall

WE NEED MORE VOTES!!!!!! Your votes keep I.W.M.A. running!

3/17/08

How Did She Forget?

Whoops, I forgot to color the Cartoon Sky in panel 1.

He's Gone?

I wonder where he is?

3/15/08

Yay, It's Not A Law!

Whew! So they're not going to be erased!

3/14/08

They Can Be Erased?

Did you know cartoon erasers are different from real erasers?. You know that if you draw something with a pencil, and then move an eraser over it, it...well, erases it? Well, since they're drawn, they can be erased. But erasers in the Cartoon World are more different then that. They don't just erase pencils...they erase everything!

3/12/08

Scribble Scribble Scribble

What do you think is going to happen to them? Do you think they'll get thrown in the C.P.?

YIKES, this is a late post!

I.W.M.A. is sorry for the late post. The creator (Riley) is a little sick, but now I'm feeling okay enough to post today's strip. If I'm still not feeling good tonight, tomorrow's strip will be a little late.

That must have hurt Merlin.

3/10/08

Colors On the Back!

That's why the colors are on the sides of the passage!

WE NEED MORE VOTES! Your votes keep I.W.M.A. running!

Dragging To the Ground

Did you notice the colors on the side of the passage?

3/8/08

He Knows!

Just so you know, tomorrow's strip may be delayed a little bit. Did you noticed I changed the release date? This is because we need more than two votes. Uh-oh, they broke a Cartoon Law! Like I said yesterday, C.P. stands for Cartoon Prison.

3/7/08

What's the C.P.?

By the way, C.P. stands for Cartoon Prison. Heidi doesn't like what she's hearing...does this mean she's trying to tell him that she's maybe changed her mind, without really telling him, or something?

3/6/08

Are They Stuck?

Wait a minute, cartoons revealing themselves to real people is against the law in Cartoon World? Whoa. I guess this explains why nobody ever sees a cartoon in the Real World...or does it?

By the way, in the Cartoon World, it's proper to capitalize "Cartoon World" and "Real World."

Did you know that cartoon light is a little different from real light? Well, it is. You all know that when light shines on one side of you, one side is darker than the other, and on the darker side, a slightly squashed or stretched silhouette (or in other words, your shadow) is on the ground, beginning at your feet? But in Cartoon World, when a light shines on one side of anything, the entire object lights up (even the side that isn't facing the light), and it looks like he, she, or it is on top of some kind of black puddle! Cool, huh?

3/5/08

The Truth Revealed!

So, now Heidi knows that's Merlin. Oops, I forgot to color Merlin in panel 2. How do you think they're going to get their passage back? Will they be stuck in the real world forever? Or will they return home safely? What do you think will happen next?

3/4/08

That's the Person!

What do you think would happen to the passage in the cartoon world if he ripped up the paper? Would the passage implode, or something? Would the cartoon world itself rip up?

3/3/08

Quick Hiding

The characters going into the real world wasn't originally going to be part of the story. It just came to me, I guess.

Is it just me, or do the characters almost refuse to say the word "cartoon?"

Real World?

Man, I've been doing a lot of post titles with question marks, huh?

New poll later.

3/1/08

Twisty Turny?

I.W.M.A. wants to put out a podcast. What should the subject be?

Well, since Nermia got half the votes, we're going to have our podcast be about "The Tiger, The Tooth Fairy, and the Closet," and maybe then a sequel! We'll try to release it on June 23rd, I.W.M.A.'s 2nd birthday.

New poll coming Monday.
