Fanmail Questions

Look at the big pile of mail next to him! If you look closely at the pile of mail, only the ones that are closest to us are actual drawings. The other ones at the edges of the pile (except the top) are just a bunch of lines.

Green Screen

Get it? Channel 623? That's the day we update our blog, because that's the day it came out! Well, actually, the other day, I found out it came out on June 21 instead of June 23. Oh well. Maybe we should just keep doing it on June 23 instead of the 21st. Hey, maybe that could be our next poll!

HE'S A SPY?!?!

The black in the last panel was done in Photoshop. There's a little bit of an inconsistency in this strip. Back in the story when Brennan escapes from his family and meets Elisha, she has brown hair. But in this strip, she has blond hair. Weird. Elisha doesn't seem to be doing very well in her schoolwork...she's erasing something. Moe looks like he's doing pretty well. Heidi's already done! Who would've guessed that Moe and Heidi went to the same school? This strip, when Heidi had a different nose.

The Secret Life of MERLIN'S DOGHOUSE

The computer in the last panel says, "WELCOME, MDOG. PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE." What do you think all those controls do? The thing Merlin is lying on in the first panel is a rug. Did you notice that the doghouse suddenly became bigger in the last panel?

Fourteen Inches?!

I wonder what Nerm would say? I like the little detailed instructions I created. I also like how the color appears to get darker around the logo. It only "appears" to get darker because in the normal panel, the lines are relatively far apart; you can see a lot of white spaces in between them. But around the logo, you have to look very closely to see any white spaces. The color is the same, I just decreased the space between the lines.

Tomorrow we'll be seeing another one of those "The Secret Life Of..." stories!

A Pipe What?!

It took me a while to get a good design for the pipe organ. Here's what I started with:

I figured it wasn't big enough, so I thought, "What would happen if I mirrored it to the other side?"

I thought it was starting to look better, except for the fact that there are two short sections in the middle. I didn't want two sections of the same height right next to each other, so I took one out:
