Who is Sam?

This joke came from The Master of "Red Brick, Blue Brick." Story panels 1 and 2 were originally combined, so there were originally only four panels.

Do you know what's hard about creating these Sunday strips? Creating an opening joke. The strip could be run with just the bottom two rows, the bottom two rows along with the logo box, or with all the panel. So, I have to create a strip that will be suitable for all those purposes...without changing the plot...also avoiding a crucial part to the story in the first row...and making sure that it's funny enough to be an "extra joke."

Let's check out our current poll results. Whoa! Looks like the 3D picture is winning! We'd better get started on that! And if that doesn't win, we'll just post it some other time, maybe for our 1000th post.

Remember yesterday, Moe says that there's a Bedtime Buggy in every city of every county of every state of every country of every continent except Antarctica. So, there is a Bedtime Buggy in Honolulu...and New York City, and Los Angeles, and New Orleans, and Seattle, and Salt Lake City, and Boise, and Juneau, and Bismark, and Pierre, etc.

Well, at least there is in the Cartoon World. But not here in the Real World.

Did you notice that the color of the talk bubble in panel 2 is light yellow? That's because he's still shouting, a little bit. I can't believe she thinks that it can't be in the newspaper unless it's news. Apparently, she doesn't know that other people need entertainment as well as the news.

This is what they will be referred to as when they are talking to themselves, and also in the updated Welcome posts (which will be updated on June 23). It was a challenge to come up with something that didn't start with "My very eager mother."

I call it that because light brown is always the shade of skin, unless I'm coloring Nerm (orange), Bob (green), Bed Monster (red), or Mama (dark brown).
