R2-D2

This came from my baby brother.

4/13/09

Luxo, Jr.

Luxo, Jr., released in 1986 (and re-released in 1999 with the release of Toy Story 2), was the very first official movie from Pixar Animation Studios.

4/12/09

Where is Springton?

The panel about the Rubik's Museum wasn't in my original sketch. Other than that, the content of every panel was the same!!

4/11/09

Fluorescent Ideas?

I don't really remember where this idea came from.

4/10/09

Define Personal Space

My original sketch had Julia a little bit closer to Moe.

4/9/09

The Master Blaster!

One day I had the idea of a really aggressive-looking gun shooting either paper airplanes, or really tiny bullets. I thought it was so funny, I decided to use it here.

Just off the lines of I.W.M.A. products...the Master Blaster!
Not recommended for children under 3 years. Order yours fast, because they're flying off the shelves!

4/8/09

He's Crying Over Invisible Ice Cream

My mom claims I did this when I was little.

4/6/09

Look At His Hair!!

Mama is slightly illuminated in panel 3. That's because Thidwick's shock was so big, it caused a big spark. You'd think a shock like that would be pretty fatal, wouldn't you, though?

4/5/09

$30,000?

"...and test drives are $1,000 each! That comes to a total of $49,000, not counting tax!"

My dad did this hilarious scenario almost word-for-word one day. He even acted out the salesman's gestures you see here! Originally, I was going to have that truck behind the salesman look like the Pizza Planet truck from Toy Story, but I changed my mind before I added the rocket.

4/4/09

And On, And On, And On, And On...

This joke originally came from an old comic strip I used to do, Maynard and Rex. They weren't humans, similar to Melfin and Tuffet. In the original strip, there were only three panels. I added in the fourth panel to show that it really could go on and on. Oh, and in the original strip, Rex was saying, "This could go on forever." Because it could.

4/3/09

Pkeow?

The "volcano" is actually an upside-down funnel. Do you recognize the toys? They're from Sharker-Price, mentioned in an earlier post! Moe is playing with Thidwick, and Merlin is playing with Moe. This strip has an instance of inanimate objects coming to life. Look at the Thidwick toy in the last panel.

4/2/09

Why Would He Want To Do That?

We have a video of me doing the same thing when I was 2-4 years old. I thought that phrase was funny enough to use it in a strip.

By the way, the text of yesterday's post is in Italian. It translates to:

Why Am I Not Surprised? (title)
I like the picture of Moe, packed and looking sad. (text)

This is also hidden in the HTML code, as a comment. If you really want to see it, look for the text that is in borders like: <-- and -->

4/1/09

Perché Non Sono Sorpreso?

Gradico la maschera di Moe, imballata e sembrante triste.

3/31/09

I Want Moe Heroes and Centaurs!

I wonder what they would look like if I really did that...?
I actually drew this strip only about a minute after I scanned today's strip, because that's when I got the inspiration/idea.

3/29/09

3/28/09

Does That Count as a Loophole?

Bob is rolling his eyes in the last panel.

3/27/09

3/26/09

Their Quality is Back!!!

Just so you know, I'm back in the Real World.

3/24/09

The Sun is Setting On the Cartoon World!

What Moe means is that the Cartoon World will end that night, before sunrise.

3/23/09

3/22/09

Is She Really Sick?

Moe probably painted that red stripe.

3/21/09

3/20/09

Moe is Using a Quadruple Negative!

If you translate the second panel into a single-negative, or a no-negative, he's actually saying "I'm telling you to continue the strip."

3/19/09

Goood Grief 3

The title is a repeated title of "Goood Grief" and "Goood Grief 2."

3/18/09

He Was Learning How to Pester Me?

Until the last panel, it may seem like Merlin's taking Julia's "command" way too literally.

3/17/09

What on Earth Did He Say?!?!

I was originally going to have the middle panel be made on the computer. I don't know why I changed my mind.

3/16/09

Will you start the strip?

Are they TRYING to bother me?

3/15/09

Plan H

He's trying to make me feel guilty again.

Happy 900th Post!

Well, this is our 900th post. We're getting close to the 1000th post mark. I didn't have time to make...or learn how to make...a 3D picture, so instead, I give Kristene...900 fish.
Hey, it was the spur of the moment. I couldn't think of anything else, okay?

3/12/09

I Can't Understand Him!

Automatic Translation

Panel 1: We're losing more quality!
Panel 2: Start the strip!
Panel 3: I can't understand myself!

3/11/09

Yikes, Indeed!

I started drawing with the end of the pen instead of near the tip. Now it's harder to control, so he lost more quality.

3/10/09

He's Going to Explode?

I'm starting to run out of ideas for this story.

3/9/09

Favorite Strips

The middle panel adds a little confusion to today's strip.

3/7/09

Job, Inc.

Originally, I was going to color the last panel in black and white. When I was making this strip, I could not think of an idea for the name of the company. The word JOB kept lingering in my mind. So I came up with several possible logos. The number next to a logo indicates its number.
I took a vote around the house, and the results were...
Logos 2 and 4 got one vote. Logo 5 got two, and Logo 3 got three. Logo 1 got none.

3/6/09

One House Even Has Barbie On It!

Don't ask me why I did this. I simply could not resist the urge. The idea of how that slide got in there is left for the user to decide.

3/4/09

3/3/09

The Ghost of Christmas Past The I.W.M.A.-less World

In my very first outline of the storyline, I had already made it clear that the Ghost of I.W.M.A.-less World would probably be Merlin. I don't really know why. It just came to me.

3/2/09

Who Said That?

This is a caricature of my real bed. The things on the head of my bed are a clock and a mattress warmer. I keep forgetting to draw the real mattress.

3/1/09

Nope, No Raise

I really need to think of something for our 900th post!! It's really close! This is post #888!
